Registration for Spring 2011 programs will be held in November 2011.
Program Dates & Times
Our programs run throughout the 2010-2011 school year from August 23, 2009 to May 26, 2010. All programs begin at 9:00 am. Program end times are 12:00pm for Preschool, 12:30pm for 1st and 3rd grade programs, and 1:00 pm for 2nd, 4th and 5th grade programs.

Pre-school: “Children of the Land”
Fall and Spring Semester
Program Site: ‘Iao Valley
Become part of our friendly forest and visit the different creatures that live in Maui's streams, forests, and meadows!
Kindergarten: “Introduction to Nature”
Fall Semester
Program Site: ‘Iao Valley
Use your 5 senses at the Hawaii Nature Center while uncovering some of nature's exciting secrets!
Grade 1: “Introduction to Plants and Animals”
Spring Semester
Program Site: ‘Iao Valley
Explore our keiki clubhouse where you will find everything you need to survive in a HABITAT!
Fall Semester
Program Site: ‘Iao Valley
Can you name all 5 of nature's cycles? You will after visiting the Nature Center. Build a terrarium for classroom showing how these cycles make a great team!
Grade 3: “Introduction to Wetlands”
Program Site: Kealia Ponds National Wildlife Refuge, North Kihei
This program is offered from January 1st through May 15th.
We want to go on a field trip too! Join us as we take a "walkabout" Kealia and look through our binoculars at some extraordinary wetland birds. Our favorite is the Coot. What will yours be?
Though this program is usually offered only the first two months of the year, Kealia Ponds has generously given us an extention through May 15th.
Spring Semester
Program Site: ‘Iao Valley
Hey keiki, it's your turn to teach the class! Participate in our Ranger Hike and learn how the `Iao rainforest and it's stream have changed over time.
Fall Semester
Program Site: Waihe’e Dunes
Learn about our past and help make a brighter future. After digging at a mock archeological site, it's time to malama the `aina near an old fishpond and heiau.
Middle School: "Hawaiian Watershed Sustainability Program"
Spring Semester
